About Us

New Zealand Fencing Solutions is a family owned and operated business with strong roots in farming and fencing. The business grew out of our own experience at Black Hill Station on the upper Rakaia River in Mid Canterbury, where more than 35 years of hands-on farming and fencing has given us a first-hand understanding of what reliable farm fencing products need to do.

What started in 2014 as a desire to source fencing products for our own property has grown into a business supplying farmers, contractors and fencing merchants throughout New Zealand.

Duncan remains the owner of the business, with daughter Gina now managing day-to-day sales and operations. Our product range has expanded significantly over the years, but the focus has not changed: quality products at affordable prices, designed for our challenging conditions.

We specialise in heavy duty gates, built to the standard that was common 30 years ago, and we keep our most popular gate sizes and styles in stock and ready to go. We understand that when a farmer needs a gate, waiting weeks for a special order isn't always an option, so we work hard to maintain stock across our full range of sheep, cattle and deer gates. We are also proud to be New Zealand's only factory direct supplier of steel T irons, developed for challenging ground conditions where wooden posts aren't always practical, and manufactured specifically for New Zealand conditions.

Alongside our gates and T irons, we supply a large range of Y posts, cattle and horse panels, steel sheep yards, wire and netting, gate hardware, timber products and other fencing accessories.
